Our campsites are tented chalets setup prior to arrival on full board basis and is all inclusive. Our setup includes exquisite self contained camping tents sourced from Australia and South Africa. These tents are extremely comfortable and cooling with single or double beds, fans, a bedside table, night lights and camping chairs with access to reading material. The tents are also equipped with nets to make them insect proof .
A shower awaits you and we strongly suggest a dip in the heavenly rivers of the jungle where the chances of distant wildlife encounters in the safety of our campsite is possible.There are comfortable private eco-friendly water flushed loos. Our restrooms are nestled amongst nature and yet has the the comforts of what you want to make it feel like home.
We use all natural produce from the area to enjoy the authentic cuisines of Sri Lanka and we cater for any meals that you require with prior notice on booking. We provide fresh water for your consumption and cooking. As you adventure through the jungles, our team prepares for your arrival with a scrumptious traditional meal and drinks made for your refreshment.
All produce are fresh using the local fruits, veggies and meats. We are proud of our quality of meals and can certainly guarantee that your taste buds will be satisfied. Don’t be surprised if you want to simply enjoy the campsites and the river whilst dining with our jungle prepared meals.

The jeeps minimizes noise, pollution and gives you the best open air panoramic views of nature and it's beauty. Xtreme have over 4 vehicles for the purpose of your comfort and it has been tested in the harshest terrain and shoulder-high river crossings. The jeeps we own are the pride of the business along with the mobile kitchen we trail around.

As you settle in we will direct you towards the library where you can prepare for a trek or a safari with the knowledge at hand. Being able to judge an elephants height by its footprint, to detect a deer warning call, to identify migrant birds and to verify the age of ancient painting, every book in our library is a story of its own.

Chris Perera : Raised in the jungles of Kumana, Chris has the know how and insight to what nature has to offer. His lifelong experience brings a world of knowledge about the jungles of Sri Lanka and growing up within the jungles Chris has mastered the art of wilderness interactions, survival, extensive knowledge base, professional customer service with over 30 years experience and an exclusive eye to camping. He and has the ability to show you the jungles from the perspective of the wilderness.
Shirley Perera : Shirley's jungle life began as a Park Ranger in Kumana and his career spanned all the way to becoming the deputy director for Department of Wildlife conservation. His knowledge base is second to none about Sri Lanka and his career continues today with his son as he takes you through the jungles of Sri Lanka. Shirley has not only named some birds of Sri Lanka but he knows the history and science behind the flora and fauna this island protects. "Uncle Shirley" as he is known by nature can lead you through a historical experience of Sri Lanka while using stars and tree stumps as guides for treks.
All of us at Xtreme who await your arrival into the jungles none other than the owners of the company and when required industry professional sourced within the known community of naturalists. They have created their own expertise ranging from birds, butterflies, snakes to the geography of the jungles including rivers, caves, stars and furthermore almost every guide have knowledge of 4 wheel driving and the off track survival. Our current guides are chosen for their enthusiasm, safety and love of nature and people. They not only guide our guests but share their experiences and stories which make for a wonderful starlit experience over dinner and drinks.

Policy on Plastics : We have a no Plastics Policy at the camp site and drinks and water in disposable plastic bottles are not available. However, guest are able to fill their water bottles or the glass bottles that we provide from the water filters in the campsite. All other plastics that are brought in are returned to the producer for recycling.
Carbon Footprint : We strive to maintain a minimum carbon footprint by using Solar power for all energy needs including all lightings, charging of any item and for the use of fans. Only carbon source used other than the vehicles at the moment is LP gas for cooking purposes.
Food : As much as possible food and other amenities are sourced from local producers in the area.
